Bunny Purse All Done

Doggone! The Bunny Purse is done & photographed, but Photoshop has gone 'on vacation'. Keeps trying to update but never finishes and so I can't post all the pics. Am putting just one (not good) pic here and on my Flickr, will have to call photographer son in SF and find out how to fix this glitch. Meanwhile FYI it is 'snow white' even if the pic doesn't reflect that! Will post process & pattern source as soon as Photoshop is back working~

Bunny Purse

The Bunny Purse is Almost finished. Now if I could just figure out how to put the safety eyes on! There were no pink or blue safety eyes and the black and brown ones are just too stark for a little girl's purse and so I chose green googly eyes that were meant for a frog. They are a nice spring green color, I like it. Pictures and comment on process to follow Just as soon as I can get those eyes on!!

Off My Hooks (and Needles)

Well, three little mice cat toys are finally done and here they are: The pattern was a free one..PEANUTS LITTLE WHITE MOUSE by Linda Shoup... Think I added two or so rows to the midsection and this and the other two mice were all turned inside out (pull tail through beginning hole then stitch closed. This one was needle felted (broke 3 needles (think on the jingle bell inside). The Clover needle felter used on #1 mouse and eyes/nose of other two mice which were wet felted before features were added. Kept the beginning yarn long threaded it through tail, mouse turned insid out and beginning yarn then used to tie two 'jingle bells' inside this one and #3 Eyes and nose done with embroidery thread and French knots MY WHAT BIG EYES YOU HAVE...roving pulled from yarn and needle felted in place This was made with ww Plus an additonal varigated fuzzy but thin yarn along with the Patons Wool. Nose was a single velour stitch that was trimmed with sissors then needled and lastly one drop of fabric glue to keep it from shedding. #3 mouse's eyes are tiny buttons. If you are interested, there are more photos and explanations on my Flickr site, the link @ http://www.flickr.com/photos/pattianneinga/429703197/in/set-72157594519227102/ Now this has Finally had the ends sewn in. Orginally meant as a Christmas Present for eldest son who I am informed doesn't like and doesn't wear hats...which makes this one an orphan. Haven't decided what to do with it as yet. Want to do a scarf to match, but then he doesn't like scarves either. So, for now he will be getting stuff for his Abbysynian cat.

Interupped~

I tried posting this entry last night...Hubby needed to use the computer and so it was all lost...we really DO need to be able to both be online at once! Surprise! And a very pleasant one! Cathy and Evan sent photos of her with the shawl I gave her for Christmas and fogot/didn't have time to photo... Now, Isn't she just loverly?! No pattern, although I did get the starting chain # from one...then it is just mesh with solid end borders and chain lengths to suspend the fringe from. Done with Katia Ingenua Mohair with metallic gold thread. Will try later to add the Juliet Cap and Short scarf made with the matching yarn and gold thread for her Jan Birthday. A bit later (like the next mornin') and have found the cap & scarf photos: The cap was done without sequins which I sewed on after using just the gold thread. For the scarf I tried putting the sequins onto the thread first intending them just for the border...small problem I inadvertently got some onto the body of the scarf. Which meant going back after and 'scattering' on a few more...accident becoming design... Meanwhile wishing a Happy St. Patrick's Day to all...Here is a Green Angel I designed~may it bring you all a perfect day...

Lookie what I just discovered sitting above the post window (Thanks Norma from CPList!!) It is an itsey bitsey little icon of a picture. So let's see if That is how you post a picture withing a blog entry: Boy, is that a lot of code for one picture! That one is not crochet, just one of the angels that I have designed and sewn (by hand) there are more in Flickr. Didn't have one ready to go in the Apple. Now, am going to try and put pics in yesterday's post where the links are listed..Thanks again, Norma...maybe I should start wearing glasses when I work on this!

Back Again...

Sat 03/10/07 NOTE: This post has been edited and photos added (Thanks, Norma!!) Cannot Believe that Google did it again...locked me out of this blog too. Well, it took awhile, but finally managed to get them to let me in again. Sat 03/10/07 1608 Now it seems it has been edited twice. Blogger will only show icons for pics in Flickr, whicha are only links. So have had to go back and upload the pictures to Blogger from my Apple. Haven't posted lately because caught some sort of weird bug...very high fever but none of the other usual symptoms so it wasn't flu, also had already taken the shot. Any way, not even crochet got done there for awhile. Did manage to post the pics of the Accidental Afghan It is 'Accidental' because it all started with wanting to felt something...had some Very Chunky wool yarn all 2 lbs of it from the internet (think it was on ebay) and my son's request for a blanket for their cat so he would leave their blankets alone. It was done without a pattern It got WAAY too big and too heavy and sort of 'morphed' into my first afghan ever. It was machine felted at a friend's house (Thanks Elaine!) because I have a fort loader. AFTER felting I thought it needed a border and although you cannot tell (dark couch & dark yarn) I used a lighter wt wool for the border (invented) and had to Needlefelt that because I had NO idea what would happen if I washed the afghan again...as in maybe a border too small or too loose for the afghan which was a good size. Sooo, not only do I have my first ever Afghan & my first felted object it is also my first Needle felting project too. Lets just say that is a Lot of 'needling' around that thing which has been shipped off to its new home with Evan and Cathy in LA. Then there is the KittyKomfort™ Blankie.. I seem to be full of 'accidental' projects. The KittyKomfort™ Blankie started out as a sweater that was accidentally Felted. Never got around to getting rid of it and when Evan asked for a blanket for Sri and After the afghan adventure I decided to use the lefover back of the sweater for on. It is more a brown and I started out with a doubled strand of Paton's Wool Olive with a blanket stitch and a row of single crochet. Then I switched to 1 strand Olive and one of Dark brown. You will need to forgive the colors in the photos am still learning to use the Digital SLR that son Mark gifted me with (Love & Thanks, Mark!) Didn't have a pattern for the border, but liked how it ended up...liked it enough so that I also Needled it to felt it since thought it would be nice if it had some stitch definition. It kept the definition on the side that was needled and the reverse side turned fuzzy without any definition at all all in all, an Interesting experiment. Just might do another. Off my hooks my very first cat toy. An ity bity mouse that is more the size for a kitten than a cat. Still want to add features and maybe needlefelt it which should be interesting since it has a jingle bell inside. Might be uninterest color to cats, but it's a mouse and it's Gray...Pictures later. Still have not had a chance to go thru the pictures of the tornado I was locked in WalMart for. Later, I guess. Happy Crochetin' All~

Day 2- Tornado Photography Day

Busy, busy. Have a LOT of pics already that need croping etc and was out today with my friend Elaine taking More pics~these of some of the tornado damaged homes here with repairs in process. They have finally cleared the streets but the public is not allowed into the neighborhood. Seems we inadvertently entered by a 'back' way through her Church property which was extensively damaged, not realizing that access was limited to residents. Hard to imagine that only minor injuries occurred here with all that damage. Now to upload into my computer's photo software and theh to the web. No crochet today, just photography.

This is the umpteenth (I think) attempt at beginning a blog of my Crochet and craft adventures. I must have at least four 'orphaned' blogs that had to be abandoned either because I had NO idea what or how and then there is the last Google one that locked me out when it coverted to the 'new' Blogger. That's a pain. Now all I need is someone to help me figure this out. Someone I know said that there was a 'Wizard' to download that would help, but I run an Apple in Firefox and so far, nada. Gotta run....would rather Crochet than chat.
